Modular gas engine power plant will be constructed on the site of the mine named after Lenin near Temirtau. GE Jenbacher JGC 420 GS-N.L. gas engine plant rated at 1.4 MW will operate in parallel with power grid. It will generate electric power for the needs of mine infrastructure. The station will be the first in Kazakhstan for the operation on coal-bed methane. The customer of the equipment is Arselor Mittal Temirtau. General contractor for the project is Promelectronika-K Ltd. The commissioning of the station is planned at the end of this year.
