PowerWind sells first wind turbine to Britain

In future the University of Sheffield covers part of its energy demand with PowerWind 56; Sub-MW products are best suited for the profitable British feed-in tariff.

PowerWind GmbH has closed a deal over the delivery of a wind turbine to the University of Sheffield. With this first installation on British ground the German manufacturer enters one of the most important markets for wind energy converters. By the end of 2011 the 900-kW turbine of the PowerWind 56 type will already be installed. The German PowerWind GmbH offers powerful plants oriented towards the demand of smaller municipalities or institutions.
