PowerWind has concluded a framework agreement with Albion Ventures and Infinite Energy for the delivery of several PowerWind 500 turbines.The first installation will be as early as February 2012 in Ebbw Vale, Wales.

PowerWind 500 is operated with an original 500kW generator and not a throttled generator so is likely to get a high approval probability for the Feed-in-Tarrifs said the manufacterer.

The PowerWind 500 has a rotor diameter of 56 meters and generates significantly higher energy yields at lower rotor speeds than other similar products, which also reduces noise levels, said the manufacturer.
