The station was commissioned under Gazprom JSC program for experimental methane extraction from coal beds of Naryksko-Ostashkinskoye field. At the beginning it is planned to use coal-bed methane as the fuel for gas engine power plants. The station with total electric output of 2.2 MW consists of two Zvezda-GP-1100VÊ-02Ì3 power units developed on the base of Cummins gas engines each rated at 1.1 MW.

The station is equipped with Zvezda-Energetika control system and Zvezda-280NK-02Ì3 emergency diesel power plant rated at 280 kW. The station will operate without fuel gas booster compressor station and use methane with the pressure of 0.03…0.15 MPa.

The station will be operated by the specialists of Zvezda-Energetika JSC. At present they operate several stations with electric output of 4.5…15.5 MW. Naryksko-Ostashkinskoye field is the biggest in Kuzbas according to the volume of coal-bed methane. After the commissioning of power station it will secure all power needs of field’s infrastructure.
