Methane is utilized on the coal mine of Krasnoarmeysk (Ukraine).

The first unit of the station consists of 6 GE Jenbacher JMS 620 GS-S.L gas engine power plants each rated at 3.03 MW with thermal power output of 2.9 MW. The station operates in cogeneration cycle. Electric efficiency of the station is 43 %, thermal efficiency is 41.3 %. The plants are designed around J 620 GS gas engines.
