First unit of Yugo-Zapadnaya TETs combined cycle power station was commissioned in Saint-Petersburg.

General contractor for the project is Stroytransgas JSC, general designer is Atomenergoproject Institute (Saint-Petersburg). PGU-200 combined cycle power station with total electric output of 205 MW consists of two Ansaldo Energia V64.3A gas turbine plants, one Siemens SST-600 steam turbine. Two Pr-100/14.8-9.4/0.85-535/245 heat recovery steam generators were supplied by Podolsky Machine-Building Plant, hot-water boilers were delivered by Energomash JSC (Belgorod). Commissioning of Yugo-Zapadnaya power station will secure the power supply to the customers in south-western districts of the city. The project is financed from city budget with attraction of Sberbank credits. The commissioning of the second stage of the station is planned in 2014.
