Price formation on the market of gas engine power plants.

Demand for gas engine power plants in Russia is growing very rapidly. Simultaneously offers for this equipment are growing rapidly too. So, the customers get wider choice of the equipment. From the other point of view the choice becomes more complicated with reference to great number of offers. Price formation on the market of gas engine power plants is absolutely unobvious. The prices for the plants developed on the base of the same engine can vary by 1.5–2 times. On the competitive market it is very difficult to image that the main reason for it is wants of manufacturers. Of course, there are technical differences. The article presents the interview with Dmitry Kolesov, manager of TEX Group of Companies in which he tries to explain principal difference between the cheapest and the most expensive gas engine power plant. The main points here are operational safety, maintainability and level of automation of the equipment. More expensive power plants have longer overhaul period and lower operational costs.
