GPA-16-102/2.5 Volga gas pumping units have been put into pilot operation at the booster compressor station of the Severo-Russkoye field (Novatek-Tarkosaleneftegaz). They are developed on the base of compressor units of PJSC Kazancompressormash (HMS Group) and gas turbine plants manufactured by KMPO. The unit based on the NK-16 gas turbine engine and 4GTS2-146/41-102 centrifugal compressor has a capacity of 9 million m³ per day and a final pressure of 10 MPa. The units are designed to compress natural gas as part of the external transport booster compressor station.

The 4GTS2-146/41-102 unit includes a compressor unit (compression housing and multiplier on one frame), lubrication unit, oil air cooling unit, oil supply system, gas pipelines. Dry gas dynamic seals are used as the end seals of the compressor rotor. The automated control system allows to monitor the operation of the equipment without the presence of maintenance personnel.
