GE Gas Power has signed a contract for the supply of gas turbine power plants to Kazakhstan.

Two GE 6F.03 gas turbines and two heat recovery boilers, steam turbines and electric generators will be manufactured and delivered for the construction of a new combined cycle power plant in the Kyzylorda region. The contract also provides for maintenance, repair of equipment and the supply of spare parts during operation for 10 years.The general contractor for the construction of a turnkey power plant is the Turkish company Aksa Energy. The total electric capacity of the plant will be 240 MW, its commissioning is scheduled for 2025. The project is being implemented within the framework of the state program of Kazakhstan on the transformation of energy system.
