Strogino combined-cycle power plant upgrading.

The first power unit of Strogino power plant located in Moscow successfully passed operational testing in April this year. The power plant has the overall capacity of 260 MW and it consists of two power units each on the base of two 45 MW SGT-800 gas turbines, 40 MW SST-400 steam turbine by Siemens and two heat-recovery steam generators.

The construction of Strogino combined cycle power plant is realizing for the purpose of satisfying of growing demands of Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo, Shchukino, Khoroshevo-Mnevniki, Serebryany Bor and Strogino residential areas in electric power.

Generated power will be delivered to power grid through two 220 kV cable lines, to the MOESK grid through 10/20 kV cable lines of Lykovo substation.

The project of Strogino power plant reconstruction from technical, economical and ecological parameters is considered to be the example for the construction of new and upgrading of the old power objects.

Modernization of turbine diffusion systems.

Along with increasing of turbines output, the requirements to economy and reliability of their components become stricter. It is because that very considerable losses оf power, generated by vertical structures inside the channels, usually occur in diffusers and sockets. There are essential opportunities for the efficiency increasing. By means of analytical calculations it was determined that power losses at the output of low pressure cylinder of K-300-240 steam turbine come to 10-15 MW.

The article presents the problems of the upgrading of conic diffuser using in control valves and in other components of steam turbines, steam and water ejectors of power plants, and also in annular curvilinear diffusers of axial turbines for stream braking behind last stages of turbines.

MWM gas engines power plants – reliable power supply.

MWM GmbH is the new name of well-known Deutz Power Systems GmbH & Co. KG, which is one of the oldest manufacturers of diesel engine, generating sets and CHP plants.
The company reference list includes more than 2500 units with total output of 3000 MW in the world. There are 120 MWM power plants are in operation in Russian Federation.

The main priority of the company is ensuring of high reliability of supplied equipment in operation. Representative offices of service departments are in more than 130 countries.

Chandler Energo Ltd. is the exclusive dealer of MWM GmbH in Russia. Its competence embraces all issues connected with sales and maintenance of gas engine power plants.
The company offers to the clients not only advanced generating equipment but also wide range of services including technical consultations, development of the projects, equipment deliveries, turn-key power plants construction and personnel education.

Effective maintenance by ABB Group.

OPAC - for performance based added value. As the world's leading turbocharging specialist, ABB is constantly improving its product and service portfolio. OPAC is an Operation Performance Package offering customers dedicated solutions for a more flexible, more cost-effective approach to turbocharger service.

OPAC is a service product developed with and for ABB's customers. To suit their exact needs over an agreed period of time. And always with the possibility of upgrading, if and when they need to. Customers can choose between two OPAC modules - BASE and PREMIUM - each offering a different range of services.

Multifunctional power complex – autonomous power supply solutions.

More than 70% of the territory of the Russian Federation is under decentralized power supply zone. Power supply systems in isolated regions have different characteristics. Firstly, the main customers are settlements, dispersed over the wide territories featuring diverse load and temperature ranges. To provide this kind of customers with electric and thermal power the concept of autonomous power supply development was worked out. The power systems can be operated in conjunction with renewable power sources and the power grid.

Konver Ltd. continues actively applying control systems for dual-fuel engines.

In total the company has introduced more than 80 control systems for dual-fuel engines. Each of them is adapted for specific equipment and application. High reliability of the systems and thoroughly organized engines maintenance give the opportunity to operate the equipment during the long period in dual-fuel cycle without considerable expenses for the repair.

Main units of the systems are designed on the base of micropocessor-based controllers of Z-World company (USA), peripheral control device – on the components of Adventech company, gas safety systems – on the utilities of Kromschroeder.

Hybrid combustion air conditioning.

In steady-state operation, gas turbines serve to drive electrical generators, gas compressors and fluid pumps. Their advantage relates to simple design, an extremely high power density, a long service life and the option of operation with various calorific values, advantages not afforded by piston machines. In recent years, it has been possible to increase the output and efficiency of gas turbines and reduce pollutant gas emissions in the waste gases in line with more stringent legislation. However, secondary processes of gas turbines continue to have an important optimization potential.

Hybrid combustion air conditioning used in gas turbines can be applied for various processes including recooling of secondary cycles, preheating of fuel gas and combustion air treatment.
