Gas engine power station was put into operation in Cherkessk.

The station consists of three Caterpillar G3520C gas engine plants each rated at 2 MW. They are equipped with Caterpillar SR4B HV electric generators with voltage of 10.5 kV and Frerk Aggregatebau GmbH waste-heat boilers with cycle water temperature 70/90 °C. The main fuel for the station is natural gas. Main power equipment was supplied by Zeppelin Russland.
