Janub thermal power station was commissioned in Azerbaijan.

Total electric output of the station is 800 MW. The station consists of two combined cycle power units each rated at 390 MW. Main power equipment of the station includes four GE Energy MS9001E gas turbine power plants, D11 steam turbines and electric generators.
