Siemens to supply and service 87 wind turbines for Logan's Gap project.

Siemens has been awarded  an order from Pattern Energy Group LP (Pattern Development) to supply and install 87 wind turbines for the Logan's Gap Wind project in the USA. The 200-MW project, located in Comanche County, Texas, will create enough clean energy to power 50,000 homes in Texas annually. The SWT-2.3-108 wind turbines to be supplied have a power rating of 2.3 megawatts (MW).

Installation of the wind turbines at the Logan's Gap project is scheduled to begin this year, with the start of operations expected for autumn 2015. A service and maintenance agreement was also signed to help ensure the turbines operate at optimal levels
